A 60-second guided breathing break

Breathe Sixty is the quiet corner of TAPSIXTY: five slow cycles of four seconds in, a two-second hold, six seconds out, adding up to exactly one minute. A soft circle expands and contracts to pace you; there's an optional gentle tone that rises with the inhale. No score, no timer bar, no share button — this is the one page on the site where nothing is being measured.

Why the exhale is longer

The 4–2–6 shape isn't arbitrary. A slow, extended exhale nudges the nervous system toward its rest-and-digest mode — it's the same principle behind the breathing patterns used in yoga, mindfulness practice and performance coaching. One minute won't transform your day, but it reliably takes the edge off: a slower pulse, a dropped pair of shoulders, a beat of quiet between whatever just happened and whatever comes next.

When to use it

Before something that matters — an interview, an exam, a difficult call. After something that stung — a lost game, a heated thread. Between focus blocks, when your attention is starting to fray. Or simply between rounds here: it pairs beautifully with the time estimation test, which rewards exactly the calm this practice creates.

FAQ

Do I need headphones?

No — the sound is off by default and entirely optional. The visual pacing carries the exercise on its own.

How often should I do it?

Whenever you like — it's one minute. Many people bookend work sessions with it, or use it as a reset between games.

Is anything tracked?

No score, no streak, no leaderboard. It's deliberately the least gamified minute on the site.
