About TAPSIXTY
TAPSIXTY is built on one idea: sixty seconds is enough to test a skill. Eight bite-size tests, each tuned to a one-minute sprint by default (you can shorten or stretch them). No account, no downloads, no waiting — pick a test, tap for sixty seconds, and beat your personal best.
The tests
- TYPE — a classic typing speed test. Type as many words as you can before the clock runs out. Scored in WPM (words per minute, one word = five characters), with accuracy and raw speed alongside.
- REACT — a reaction time test. Wait for the pad to turn green, then tap as fast as you can. Your score is your average over the rounds you choose.
- MATH — a mental arithmetic sprint. Problems get harder as you solve more. Misses reset your streak.
- RECALL — a digit span memory test. A number flashes, you type it back. Each success adds a digit.
- AIM — click targets as fast as you can, still or drifting. Scored in average milliseconds per hit, with dead-center "perfect" hits tracked.
- FLICK — shrinking targets appear and vanish. Hit as many as you can before time runs out — reflexes and accuracy both count.
- CHIMP — the famous chimpanzee working-memory test. Numbers flash, then hide after your first click; tap them in order. Each round adds one more.
- STROOP — the word says one color but is shown in another. Decide "match" or "no match" as fast as your brain allows.
How scoring works
Your best scores, streak and settings are saved in your own browser — nothing is uploaded. The "top %" shown after each run is an estimate against a reference curve of typical human performance, not a live leaderboard of other players. Online accounts and real leaderboards are on the roadmap.
Why ads?
TAPSIXTY is free and we want to keep it that way. A small number of ads cover hosting and development. If you'd like to support the project directly, check the Support ♥ button on the home page.
